Rakee Posted May 6, 2015 Report Posted May 6, 2015 Hi Folks, I need some advise on my situation. Currently I have applied for H1B extension which is going to be expired in August 2015. Unfortunately I received an RFC asking for client letters and vendor letters. After requesting a lot my client has provided me a PO with good verbiage " possibility of extension of the project" but my vendor refused to give similar letter and provided me a letter with project duration for 2 months. I am not very confident about this petition and afraid if may get rejected or I may get H1 approved for only 2-3 months. I have to go India in the next month so it is kind of emergency. I wanted to know if I can withdraw my petition and apply for another petition through different client/project and same employer? Withdrawing existing one and applying another one immediately would cause any issue? Please advise as I have other projects from clients who are ready to give client letters with good duration on it.

jairichi Posted May 6, 2015 Report Posted May 6, 2015 Employer cannot file multiple H1's for same employee. Rahul412: OP mentioned his employer will withdraw that H1B extension petition and later will file a new one with new client. That is acceptable.
