H1B to H4 EAD query

Dear Team

Kindly help clarifying the query below.

 

I'm currently working on H1B - 6 yrs completing by Jan 2016. Hence, wanted to apply H4 EAD (Husband's I140 is approved as of 2014)

 

- If I apply for H4 COS and EAD application together in May - till when can I continue working without a break - I believe, I can work till H4 status gets approved - should I take a break after that until EAD gets approved and resume work? 

 

or can I continue working till both applications are processed.

You can continue to work till your COS to H4 gets approved. You can restart your work when EAD is approved.

Another question related to this - should we apply only on May 26th start of the application date or can h4 ead be applied anytime of the year after that.
