kittu0413 Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 Hi, I am planning for my first time H1B stamping in a month in Hyderabad. in my i797 approval, there is a typo. Typo was done by USCIS. When I spoke with my attorney, he said, he updated the USCIS about this. we have been waiting for their response. Exact Typo is: My Company name.. "A B & C". But in my i797, it is spelled as "A B 7 C". (In the keyboard '7' and '&' will be in same key) My doubts are.. 1. What are the chances that I may get questions about this issue.? 2. Is there any chance that I can get 221 g because of this. I am working for a well know non profit research org and my h1b is cap- exempted. Thanks, Madhu Quote

kittu0413 Posted May 5, 2015 Author Report Posted May 5, 2015 USCIS sent me updated i797 yesterday. It took 5 business days to correct typos in my petition. Didn't expect this fast response from USCIS. Quote

Rajkhanna Posted September 5 Report Posted September 5 Hello, There is a typo in my i797A, County of Citizenship has been wrongly mentioned as Iceland instead of India. I have informed my attorney and they submitted a typo correction form and provided my passport biographic page. Kindly answer the below. 1. How long it takes to receive new i797A with correction? 2. Is there any problem if I travel India with old petition for stamping? 3. Can I change my employer before this correction without any hustle? Quote
