Hello everyone,

I wanted you suggestion to decide if I should be going to India for stamping or not.

Here is my case:

I already have 221G from my previous two F1 trips to India and now I have an approved H1B petition from my full time employer (1000+ employees working in travel industry). I am really scared just thinking about my trip to the consulate as I am not sure if I will get this dreaded 221G or not? My travel is not really urgent, but wanted to meet my folks back home.

Also first thing, I am a Muslim.

First time 221G when I visited consulate ran for 90 days
Second time 221G when I visited consulate coz my SEVIS changed ran for 60 days.

Not sure if I should be going again? What do you all have to say?

Hi, I dont know how to react to your issue. it doesnt matter to VO if you are a Muslim. he checks for your history for sure...like previous 221G's. if you have your documentation perfect, you are good to go. I heard few stories about 221g in history and VO did admin processing. but all VO did was to make sure 221g was only for some documentation.

Carry all proper documents for H1b. I797 your recent paychecks. Prepare for most likely questions. i.e What company you are working for. What is your role in the company etc. All should align with your recent H1B petition. If you have proper documents you should be good. I got 221G for my first time H1B stamping for additional documents which got approved later. I appeared again last year to renew my H1B and got it renewed without any further inquiry. So don't worry you will have to appear before consulate one day or other. Be confident and make sure all paperwork is in place.
