Employer 1 has filed h-1b for me in April 2015, which has been elected in lottery (but not processed yet). I have job offer from employer 2, Can I switch to employer 2? When can I switch? jairichi Posted April 22, 2015 Report Share Posted April 22, 2015 I am on OPT You can start working for new employer during OPT. As said above, to work on H1B with new employer your new employer has to file a cap exempt H1B petition after Oct 1st and get it approved. Provided H1B petition filed by current employer is approved and not withdrawn/revoked before Oct 1st. Link to comment
