I was working in the US for 3 years, my OPT expired but H1 was not filed. I have applied for H1b for this year and waiting approval like most of you. I do not however plan to go to the US till the mid of next year. I wanted to know if I get my i-797, can I wait for an year to get it stamped and then go to US ? Or is there a vaildity on the H1b and the stamping and if I dont go by the start date, would it be deferred ? Also, would my H1b 3-year vailidity start from the day I get the 797 or the day i actually get it stamped ? Link to comment
