URGENT - update ds 160 and petition number after booking an appointment

Hi,

Can someone please let me know how to update DS 160 number and petition number after booking an appointment for H1B stamping in Canada(Appointment was scheduled using a different DS 160 number which I was unable to retrieve so submitted a new DS 160 application)

You cannot update DS160 number after booking the consulate interview. you have to cancel the appointment and then schedule the appointment again. But you may not get the same Date and time again. when you schedule the appointment again you need not pay the MRV fees again. I did that mistake and that fee is not refundable.

I think you need not cancel the appointment.  Fill another DS160 and update the appoitment with the new DS160 application number
