Does it call for relocation or amendment?

Hi All,

 

I have a valid visa for Client A at Location X.Now i has been asked to initiate the LCA for same Clinet (A) but for different location Y. There is no role change .Will my LCA will go as relocation or it will be an amendment. How long the entire process can take. I have a valid visa stamped on Sep 2014 and never travelled to US until now.

I would suggest to get an amendment done.

A new LCA would be required if the location is not in the same metropolitan region.

It is from Chicago to Florida.

The client and role remains the same.

It is unclear under what condition i should go for amendment/relocation.

I am under assumption relocation would suffice. Can someone please elaborate a little more .

If the current LCA doesn't cover the new location, the employer needs to file a new LCA for the position, and the H1 has to be amended.

The employer should know all of this. If they don't, they should consult with a good immigration lawyer.

Ok,, some of the attorney suggests for relocation than amendment and it took only 14 days to process. So will it cause the trouble if i am going without amendment with the new LCA? 

 

Or once after travelling to the new location shall i start processing amendment?
