L1B Laidoff and Rejoin

Hi,

I am been laid off recently, where i was working under L1B Visa. Now i have applied for another job in the same company  under different manager but same department or different department all together. Manager and HR and ready to consider me for that job profilem however they wanted to check the legas oblegations that are involved in rehiring. My visa is valid till May 2015. I will be getting my sevarance package for the next 4 months.

1. Please let me know will there be any problem in rehiring

2. If hired, do the company need to reapply for new L1 filing

3. If hired, can i continue on the same old L1

What is your current status?

Employer has to file a new petition to rehire you as they would have revoked your old petition.
