Indian Passport Renewal

Hi All,

 

My passport expires in Jan2016 but my petition is approved till Nov 2017. So I want to renew my Indian passport before visiting for stamping.

 

How soon I can apply for renewal? Any inputs on this is greatly appreciated.

Not more than a year before passport expiry.

Hi Sunny,

 You can only apply for renewal of your passport if your passport is expiring with in a year. so u have to wait untill jan 2015 to apply for renewal.

 

for your stamping of visa u need to have ur passport atleast 6 months validity. I know your concern that they might give u visa approval untill the passport expiry, I cant say anything about it but hope for best they should give approval untill ur h1b approval. if you want u have to wait untill u get ur passpoirt and go for visa that is may be in feb or march once you get ur passportplease check BLS Passort india website for the renwel of passport.
