H1 to H4 and again back to H1

Hello, I have converted my H1B to H4 6 months ago for personal reasons and my 3rd year H1B expiration is Jan 2015. Is it possible to re initiate my H1B after Jan 2015 or do I have to apply for a new H1B. Please advise.

You are eligible for a total of 6 years minus time you already spent in H1 status based on being cap counted once. H4 periods do not count.
