immigration.issues Posted August 28, 2014 Report Share Posted August 28, 2014 I was just wondering what is the immigration status of the baby born outside of USA whose parents are green card holders? When/how will the baby get GreenCard or citizenship? Looks like the baby can enter USA without any immigrant visa, as per FAQ on Mumbai.usconsulate.gov/legal_permanent_residents.html. Not sure about other things like when the baby will get green card, what happens if parents apply for their citizenship at the end of their 5 year of GreenCard etc. If someone has gone through this situation, could you please share your experiences and advice?
