My H1B is approved but not effective, can I transfer to F2?

Hi,

 

I get my H1B approved (will be effective on Oct1), but I want to change to F2 for now, because the company I am working for is not stable at all and I already stay at home for one month.

My question is if I apply F2 and get approved, will it affect my H1B be effective on Oct1? Any other risks I need to consider?
