H1 to H4 and to H1

Hi all....I really hope to get some feedback about the issue below...

 

Currently I am on severance package from Employer-A who hasn't cancelled my H1 B yet per the severance package (is valid for another 3 months). Now i have an offer from Employer-B. B is telling me that if they transfer the H1, I have to go out of the country to get stamped in order to change the company. Is that how it works?

 

Also, i was thinking what if i change from H1 to H4 and then change from H4 to H1 and start working with new Employer-B. Is this option feasible?

Severance package is not part of your payroll. You are out of status from the last day of work with employer A. So, what employer B informed you is correct. H4 option is possible but it depends on when was your last day of work to know whether a COS to H4 is possible now.
