aramasa
Hi All, I'm on my 10th year in H1B with employer A. Also, I have an approved I-140 with the same employer, and haven't applied for 485 due to the dates are not current yet for my case. I'm planning to switch the employer and have concerns with my visa transfer and GC. Since, my H1B extension beyond 6 years is based on GC, is it possible that I can transfer my H1B visa to another employer? If it is possible, my understanding is that my GC will become invalid and need to start the process again with new employer as GC is for future employment. Can I retain the original priority date? Appreciate your expert guidance. Thanks!! Link to comment
jairichi
1. Yes. 2. If current employer does not revoke your I-140 and plan to give you a job once GC is approved then there is no issue. You still retain priority date with new employer's GC processing. Link to comment
