KidFromGA
My H1 and wife's H4 visa stamping expired in Jul 2013 and we both have the renewed I797s with us. If we travel to India is it necessary to go for stamping or can we enter with renewed I797s? No change in employer. Are there any complications that we should be aware of? Suggestions.. please help! anilbeereddy
As your visa stamping has expired you need to get new stamping with the new I797. With the new 797 you can stay in the country till its validity but as the current visa ended on Jul 2013 you need to get new stamping if you leave the country. Link to comment

A visa is an entry document. With an expired visa you cannot enter. Get your visa renewed. Link to comment
