OPT Ending

Hello All,

 

I have done my masters and used all my OPT(29 Months) and my OPT will be ending in December of this year and i have not filed my H1 this year, i want to enroll into another university for Spring 2015 and the class will be operating in the month of January. So i got a lag of 20 days until new university begins..

 

1. Can i stay in the country after completion of my OPT Stem Extension until Classes being for Spring(January). If not what i should do?

I believe you may stay up to 60 days if you have received admission and I20 for your new program or have initiated change of status. Check with the school DSO too

You have 60 days grace period after end of OPT so you are fine.
