luckymadhu753@gmail.com
I have approved H1 with no visa stamping and valid B1 Visa. Planning to enter US on B1 and my admission of entry to US would be B1. Since I have already holding approved H1, can I apply SSN without change of status ? Please help me. Link to comment
omshiv
Nope..you cannot do that..you'll have to do COS to H1...or rather get H1 stamped and come....why are you afraid of stamping? Link to comment
pontevecchio
No. You need H1 status to apply for a SSN. Is there a potential problem getting the H1 visa? Link to comment
jairichi
No, you cannot. Your employer has to apply COS or you need to exit and enter on H1B visa to apply for SSN. Link to comment
