H1B transfer when still not get visa stamp

Hi all,

 

I am currently holding L1 visa. My company helped me to apply H1B this year. I got the approval notice but I still not get the visa stamp. Now my company is in a tough situation and layoff many people. I am afraid I would be the one picked up next. So I want to ask:

 

1. If I still not got my H1B visa stamp, can other copamany do H1B transfer?

 

2. If I got layoff, will this H1B petition valid and other employers can do H1B transfer?

 

3. Can I start looking for another job now? I am currently holding L1 visa but my H1B should be valid on 1st of October.

Just some additional information as your H1b is approved you need stamping when you go out of US and at the time of re-entry. Till you are in the country no having a stamping would not be a problem.
