How does an Indian CA get employed here?

Hello,

 

I qualified CA in 2008 and have post qualification work experience of 6 years - 3 years in tax, and then with a private equity fund.  Got married and recently moved to the US and been exploring opportunities here but as I understand, its not easy :(

1. My husband is on H1B and I'm on H4 - does have any pointers of what can be done to get an employment? Would CPA help me to get me a employer who would also sponsor my work visa?  
2. If so, can I take up CPA on H4?
3. I understand state laws differs here - so any specific state that I should get registered with for CPA exam?

For an H1, the job has to require at least a 4-year bachelor degree.
