spvisa
I finished my interview on Friday last week. The consular officer said my visa is approved and also took my I-20. After I came back from interview, I came to know that its not normal for the officer to take my I-20. Has any heard of such a situation before? Link to comment

If you passport was taken then your I-20 will be returned along with it. Nothing to panic. Link to comment
F1struggle
Contact your DSO. They can fedex you another I20. I have heard of such situations. Or try contacting the consulate and see if they can return it with the passport. I have a question for you. When did you schedule this appointment in Vancouver? Currently i believe consulates there are not accepting visa appointments until end of Aug. Link to comment
spvisa
Thanks guys. I collected my passport, I-20 and came back to USA. I did call up the consulate call centre earlier, they said consulate officer will return all the documents that were taken. Link to comment
