Hi

I am on student visa in US.

I plan to have my wife and my 17 month old kid visit me in US for 3 weeks.

My wife is working in India.

We have following documents ready for her visa interview. Could you please let me know if we are missing out on something? Anything that we need to be particularly cautious about for interview?

Wife's:

No Objection Certificate (stating her vacation period and that her firm has no objection in her applying for tourist visa)

Experience Certificate

Salary slips (last 3 months)
Form-16 & ITR-Vs (of last 3 years)
CA Statement/Certificate (assessing her financial status)

Travel Itinerary

Bank statements (meagre savings)

Commercial property registry (in her name)

Mine:

I-20
Visiting Letter (on my university's letter head)
Enrollment Certificate (at my university)

Thanks

In my opinion it might be tough to get a tourist visa for your family when you are in US on F1 visa even though the intention is genuine (short family visit). I might be wrong with my opinion.

Yah I also thought about that, but then getting a F2 would be difficult and since OP's wife is working in India and showing many strong ties back home, I feel getting B1/B2 should not be an issue. But I may be wrong too :)

True. Let us see whether other members give their opinion.
