My wife was on a dependent Visa, she found an employer who filed for her H1-B, it is approved and she was getting ready to work from October 1st.

However, we just found out that she's pregnant.

What is the best approach? If we revoke her h1, can we apply next year cap exempt?

You can't revoke an H1. Only the employer can do that.

Once an H1 has been approved, even if it is revoked later, a new employer can file an H1 at any time.

In other words, once a person has been counted for the quota and hasn't used the full 6 years of an H1, the person is not counted again.
