I got my H1 approved for 3 yrs till sept 2016 and I also have valid stamping till 2016. Now If I get FT position at the client where I'm currently working but in a different team, do I have to go for stamping again with the new H1 If I have to go to India? Or if I do amendment will that be good?

No. Your current valid H1B visa is good to travel with new employer's I797.

No need of new visa stamp. All you need is H1 approval sponsored by that employer.
