How to apply for SSN for H4 people with the new law

 I am in H4 visa, recently came across a news that H4 people whose I 194 have been approved are eligible to work. I am in the same boat. What are the procedure to apply for SSN Number?

There is no new law. At this point, it is a proposal.

And as such, people on H4 can not apply for an SSN at this point.

If and when it becomes possible, there will be the appropriate procedures.

It is with approved I140. Wait it to become a law.

it takes about more than 60 days to become law. this is only for h4 people their spouses' green card applications are being considered, not for all H4. and also which are given to workers in fields such as science, technology and engineering, to have jobs in the United States .
