H1 Transfer 7 Years and i-140 approved

I am on 7th year of my h1b valid until august 2016. My current company filed lc and i-140 and it is approved. Now I am getting full time opportunity with company b. My questions are

 

1. If I do h1 transfer to company b can i get 3 years extension?

2.. If I do h1 transfer and I only get 1 year extension , If I don't join company b , is my current h1 valid , can i continue working for current company whose h1 is valid until 2016 and I-140 is approved.
