Job change after green card EB1 Extraordinary ability

Hi 

I have got my greencard under EB1 Extraordinary Ability category last month. My postdoctoral is ending next month. My boss has given already given me the completion/termination letter citing financial constraints. Can I change my job and join industry considering the fact that my GC was approved because I was in research/academic.

Once you have a GC you are fine to change jobs. However, changing fields is likely to cause questions since your EA is in a specific area.

I believe EB1 extraordinary ability is not tied to any employer. So, you are good.
