H1b Stamping within 1year of DUI amended to reckless driving

It has been so embarrassing, expensive and painful to go through DUI, never again!

My DUI - 1st offense charge November 2013 got amended to Reckless driving and court put a fine of 100 bucks and 48 hours class. All cleared(no probation).

I consulted a murthy.com attorney and she says that I am admissible to usa and so, as per law I will have to go through medical panel - no issue otherwise.

But my understanding from the forum has been 'not to go for stamping within 1 year of the arrest' - need your help to get a reality check. I don't think I have any other place to go.
