I will be applying for H1 for which processing/applications will be accepted April 2014. I will need to go to india in the first week of April 2014 and return in the last week of April 2014. Please guide me if it is advisable to travel to india in this situation!! Any reply will be appreciated. Thanks a ton in advance. Link to comment

You can travel but if your H1B petition is filed as COS then the COS part gets abandoned. Link to comment

I have seen some cases where in H1 was denied and even though on opt were denied entry at port of entry. But again there are many cases where there was no problems at all. I believe its not worth taking risk .... choice is yours. Link to comment
