chethanjs
Hello experts, Excuse our naivety since we haven't gone through this before, my wife moved to US after her B.E.(computer science) and took a break for a year while on H4 visa. We have someone who is willing to employ her but unable to file for H1b visa because she lacks 3 years of experience after her B.E degree. 1) Is this employer right about H1b filing? Is there a minimum experience required after B.E? 2) What are her alternatives to file for H1? Any input would be useful. Thank you. Link to comment

A minimum of 4 years bachelors degree is needed but not experience to file a H1B. Probably employer is mentioning about the experience requirement for the position that is available. Link to comment
pontevecchio
If she has the interest and the aptitude maybe consider a Master's. Link to comment
t75
She should look for an entry level position with another employer Link to comment
kewlkittu35
Hello all, I'm in a similar situation too, so posting question here instead of posting in a new thread. My wife is working in a startup software company and planning to continue her career here. She will be coming on H4, so she will not be able to work immediately. My questions are: 1) How hard is to find an employer who can sponsor H1 for someone with Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience. 2) Is it a good idea to start working without MS degree? Only drawback I see is the chances of getting H1 picked up in lottery. Any thought or suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kittu Link to comment
