pontevecchio
Your employer needs to file the I-140 within 6 months of PERM approval. Link to comment

Attorney_9
The original Labor certification will list the validity period (6 months) at the bottom of each page. The I-140 must be filed within that validity period or it expires automatically. Link to comment
Attorney_15
The rule states that a labor certification must be submitted with the I140 within 180 days of the approval - not when it is received in the mail - and that is usually but not always 6 months. Also these days and for quite some time now DOL issues the labor certification with the time period of validity on the bottom of each page. Link to comment
