H1 stamping for a consular processed visa

I am in my 14th year of H1-B. When my H1 was approved, I held Indian citizenship and passport. But recently I accepted Canadian citizenship. The recent H1 renewal was via consular processing as I have been outside US for last few years but working for the same sponsor remotely and have been getting paid in US. I also, have 140 approved and pending 485.

Being a Canadian citizen and with a Consular processing H1, am I required to get the visa stamped or do I just show the I797 at the POE?
