newbie7 Posted February 22, 2014 Report Share Posted February 22, 2014 Hi all I am desperate in need of some guidence. i am applying L1B extension and planning to do in Canada, no problem with documentation. My problem is how long it is gonna take to get Canada visa?? Their website says 30 days. and I heard bad stories about Canada consulate in Newyork that they sometimes held passport more than that and they do not update your status and rude etc........ I just want to know Are they true?? I need to renew my visa before 10-APRIL-14. So worried about what passport stuck with them ?? can anybody share their experience with Canada Consulate in Newyork. Are they real bad ?? (the worst case I want to do in India) PLEASE HELP. I WILL BE THANKFUL TO YOU. sunny Link to comment

LoanSurvivor Posted February 24, 2014 Report Share Posted February 24, 2014 Here is my recent experience - Applied online on Feb 5 Accepted on Feb 6 Request to sent the passport was received on Feb 10.. sent the passport on same day reached NY Embassy on Feb 1. Passport shipped back on Feb 19 by the prepaid envelope that I sent Feb 20 I got my passport with visa stamped. Link to comment
