SiriP
Hi, I attended my H1B visa interview at Montreal, Canada on 31st Oct 2013 and I got 221 g white slip and they took my passport & 797. After that consulate didn't request any docs and in the CEAC website its still showing Administrative process and status change date remains same as 31-Oct-2013. I sent lot of emails to consulate and I got couple of replies with "still in process". Now, I need to travel India so 1. Can I take my passport back 2. Is there any problem if I don't have a 797 in return way. 3. How much time it will take ? Link to comment
sankeerth
Yes you can do these in a sequence 1) Take Indian passport from the Consulate - goto India 2) Once your Admin processing is complete they would email you 3) Then you can come back to Canada & give them your passport for stamping 4) Once you get the new VISA Stamped you can enter USA from Canada Hope this helps Link to comment
