Keertana.Mitali
I'm currently in USA on H1B extension with valid I94 till Aug-10-2014 My visa got expired. H-1B max-out is on Aug-10-2014 My PERM has been filed on Aug-10-2013, exactly 365 days before the max out date. My company recommend me to spend 4 to 5 days outside of the U.S. as soon as possible to recapture and file for 1 year extensions beyond my 6th year. Question: If I go to Canada or Mexico and come back without visa stamping (using AUTOMATIC REVALIDATION) can those days be considered as outside of US and valid to recapture. Experts please advise. Keertana.Mitali
Thanks jairichi for the response. Hi Experts: I'm Indian citizen. To go to Mexico, do I need to have Mexican visitor/tourist visa? If yes, how to get the visa? I have only 6months left on my max out date (H1B extension I94), so will there be any problem if I visit Mexico for 2 weeks on the month of March? Experts please advise. BeeKay
If your visa is expired then I think you need Mexico tourist visa. You can get it easily, just fill a form, get all documents, go to Mexican embassy, no appointment required. Cost $36. I got mine last week. They stamp it same day, took 30-40 minutes. I got mine in San diego and followed this page for visa requirements: http://consulmex.sre.gob.mx/sandiego/index.php/visas%C2'> Link to comment
