Do we need Original Doc?

Hi Guys,

 

I am in a dilemma now, I have my H1B stamping (1st H1B stamping )on the 26th in Ottawa. I have collected all the documents, the issue here is i am unable to find my 10th , Intermediate and Graduation original certificates. I don't know where i kept it, now i am not finding them. I searched every where but no use. I have the attested (signed and stamped by College Principal) copies with me. Now my question is can I go for stamping with the photo copies of 10th, intermediate, attested copies of graduation certificates. I have my original U.S. master certificate though and all other doc's. 

 

What are the chances of asking the originals.

 

What should I say if the VO asks where r ur original 10th, 11th and Grad certificates.

 

Can I file a compliant with the local cops that I lost my certificates and take a letter fro them and carry the letter with me and show it to the VO (if he asks for originals)?

 

Has anyone faced this situation?

Hello,

 

With my limited knowledge, I can say that the chances for asking those certificates is less than 5%. They will not ask anything on what you have done in India, you rather make sure that you have all other documents perfect and that should do it for you..

 

Just in case, it is better to file a complaint and carry a letter with you....

Its good to have everything with u, but yeah if you dont have some docs, be prepared for a good answer when VO digs in deep
