kaalabhairavaa
I have a Situation here: Recently my Extension was approved for an Year(Exp: 09/30/2013), I was planning for stamping this year but due to the length I took my step back, few people suggested that apply for Extension again on April 1st in premium so you would know the result soon like 15 days or 20. Then take the old and new I-797 and go for stamping that way you can get it stamped at least for 2 years from now(if its approved for an year again). My Questions are 1. can I apply for extension on April 1st with premium processing? 2. If I get approval for 3 years, will the VO provide me stamping from now(whenever I go to stamping this year) till the End or only till current Visa Expiry? I am not sure whether this scenario works, could some one suggest on this. Thanks Link to comment

When you go for visa stamping provide both I797s to VO. Link to comment

Your employer does and he can do it in PP 2. During the interview show the latest 797 so that you will get your visa till that exp date. Link to comment

I searched in forums and found that we can attend visa 90 days before the H1 start date. You can follow the thread here : http://forum.murthy.com/index.php?/topic/71810-can-i-attend-h1b-ext-stamping-prior-to-its-start/?hl=approved Link to comment
