H-1B visa with wife who is also in H1-B

Hi,

 

I am planning  to get my H1-B visa stamped (Chennai, India) next month along with my wife who is also on H1-B at the same company. Our company is a very small and we work on site but we do deal with client company but not work at clients place. When we filed our H1 we had indicated that we will work on site.

 

Can we attend the interview as a family? We also have a son (1 yr) born in USA. We really want to go as family since we cant leave our son anywhere who is dependent on my wife. Usually a family/group visa would be for H1-B/H4 and not H1-B/H1-B.

 

Any thoughts/previous experiences?

You guys can go together to US consulate by taking appointments at the same time. But, you will have separate interviews.
