forumman
One of my friends appeared for a H1b visa interview in a US Consulate in India last week. The visa officer felt that the project description was not detailed enough in the documents and told that the case needs administrative processing. His passport was taken along with other supporting documents. However, NO additional documents were asked to be submitted and he was given a form with case number written to track his case. Anyone faced a similar issue ? What are the chances of approval in these types of cases where no additional documents were asked ? Thanks Link to comment
sankeerth
Indeed it is interesting to hear such a case, are you sure its Admin processing for additional dcouments? sometimes it could just be admin processing for the background checks Link to comment

Thanks In my current project one of my co-worker also a consultant working in EVC model went to India for stamping . He has all the documents and approved I-140 . The client gave a letter with no end date and was a fortune 500 company. Unfortunately for him at the time of interview they told him admin processing and did not ask any documents. The client too did not receive any calls or emails. After 4 months of waiting he finally kept calling the Embassy to get update and they finally asked him to come with his passport. He was lucky to be working from India for 4 months as the client manager understood the situation. Your friend has to just be patient and keep following up with embassy. Link to comment
