H4 Dependent Visa

I have few questions on H4 (dependent ) visa for my spouse. My H1 is valid until Nov 2014.

 

1. If I get married in Feb, Can I send my spouse to H4 Visa in May/June- Will the Visa Officer ask why did you not go H4 Visa since your marriage(which is 3-4 months) ?

 

 

2. I can renew my Visa 6 months prior to expiration i,e in May 2014. So, should I send my spouse for H4 Visa after I renew my H1B, otherwise my spouse will get a visa only till Nov 2014. Is this a good option?

 

 

3. I have my visa stamped till Nov 2014, so can I travel to India in May-June w/o any issues in port of entry?

1. Your spouse can go anytime. VO will not raise such silly question. If asked then let your spouse answer the truth.

2. If possible get your H1B extension approved before she goes for H4 visa interview.

3. Yes, absolutely.

1. Yes. The VO can ask anything pertinent. Why in blazes would he bother when she applies for the H4 visa?

2. Makes no difference.

3. You can travel with that visa.

So, why would you not want to have your spouse with you in the US for 3-4 months?
