anjali83
Hi, I was working with Employer X in India. I took sabbatical leave for 1 year to stay with my husband in USA on L2 visa in May 2010 to May 2011. After coming to USA I started working with Employer Y on L2 EAD work permit from Dec 2010 to June 2011. I resigned Employer X from USA in June 2011. Issue: Now I am applying for Green card and my attorney is asking for an employment verification letter from Employer X, India. I got a letter from Employer X India with dates from my joining date June 2008 to June 2011( the date I resigned). But I was employed to Employer Y, USA during those dates Dec 2010 to June 2011. So this is overlapping with my Indian company dates. However I was not payed or allotted to any project by Indian company while on sabbatical leave. Question: Can I submit Indian company's employment verification letter or shall I go with my ex-employee employment affidavit which I got from my manager. Please help me. Thanks Anjali. pontevecchio
Submit both. Better yet talk to the Lawyer and ask him what he wants. Link to comment
