Important thing to remember while filling DS 160 form

Guys,

If you are filling DS 160 form, please remember that if you were rejected for any visas before please check in the box as Yes.

Other wise no.

Example: My first F1got rejected in India. While filling DS 160 form, the question abt any visa rejected before should be yes.

I already submitted with no....I forgot about it ..long back in 2008 i also got F1  rejection first time .And there is no specific reason also..just vo said this time we are not able to process visa for u better luck next time.

 

Can i change it to yes now.Can I resubmit the the ds 160 form.

 

If VO asks why u changed to yes now.why u submitted 2 ds 160 forms will it affect.

 

Can u please adive how to re submit the DS 160 form when we need to change please advice...if anyone did previously. step to step process. please..

If your visa got rejected May be F1 or other visas you should say yes.......

Krishna - you can resubmit the DS-160 after amending it. They're only interested in your latest one and not why you changed - after all it could be a simple mistake of checking the wrong box and fixing it. There are no penalties for fixing a mistake on the form.

I did refill the DS160 for that reason and I did mention YES

I explained: I got a refusal with 214B in 2005 but I improved my test scores and got it approved in 2006

 

P.S - I atteneded the intw on the 6th and got my H1B renewed in Ottawa
