employer change before H1b Stamping

Hi,

I got my H1b visa last year for 3 years and yet to be stamped (H4 to H1). I am working as a consultant for last 4 months now and i want to change my employer due to reasons. I am planning to go for stamping in May this year (waiting for 6 paystubs). Will it be a problem, if I change my employer now and go for stamping in May? I heard from friends that if I change employer before stamping, there could be a question raised on employer-employee relations.

whats your thought? Please share your experiences.

If you change employer now and go for stamping you would need new employer's I797 and other supporting documents at the time of interview. As long as your documents are good there is nothing to worry.

You no need to wait for 6 paystubs from your new employer to go for stamping. I went through the same scenario. I had only one pay stub from my new employer and previous pay stubs for last 2 years from my previous employer because I went to stamping with in a month after I got i797. All you need to say that you took this offer recently.

Hi jairichi, can you please let us know if we need paystubs from new employer ?

If you are going for a visa interview immediately after moving to new employer you do not need pay stubs from new employer but need from old employer. And, as sunny1122 mentioned you can go anytime and not to wait for 6 pay stubs.
