H1B: Change of Speciality Occupation during H1B Transfer

Hi,

 

I am currently on an H1B with the SOC (Specialty Occupation Category) of "Marketing Manager" as I primarily work in Technical Sales and Program Management.

 

I am now looking to change to a different job/role that is under a different SOC i.e. IT Consulting, IT Managers. The new job function shall mostly revolve around Technical Management/Leadership. I have a Computer Engineering degree and an MBA, so will this H1B transfer under a new SOC be allowed by USCIS? Please let me know.
