stuck-in-canada
I am currently in the US with a recently renewed valid H1-B which is valid for 3 yearsI recently got married to a US citizen and about to start the I-130 etc. process, If I wait for two years then my green card won't be "conditional" What would be the real gain for waiting? I can afford to wait 2 years before applying since I have a visa for 3 years, but is there any real gain other than not having a conditional green card? (anyway conditional green cards have the same rights) My wife is 10 years older than me, so that could raise suspicion, but we also own a house together, have joint bank accounts, bills, so is very easy to prove we are legit I'll appreciate any comments Link to comment

t75
Earlier citizenship for earlier application. Why wait since something may happen to either of you affecting your H1B or her ability to sponsor you. Link to comment
pontevecchio
There would seem to be no benefit in waiting. A consultation with a Lawyer based on your circumstances should help you decide. If you do file make sure to have the conditions removed at the appropriate time. Link to comment
