visac2c
I would rather go to BOfA and order some Canadian dollars, say around 300 to 400. Usually it takes 2 - 3 business days for the bank to get the dollars once you place your order. All the hotels and restaurants in canada accept your US debit and credit cards. The only advantage of carrying Canadian dollars is that you can avoid the Foreign transaction fee on your debit or credit cards which is usually around 3 to 5 %. I had carried a total of $400 Canadian dollars with me and I was left with $100 odd when I came back from the trip. I did use my credit card here and there a few times. I would recommend that you carry couple of hundreds in Canadian dollars just in case if you need. Thanks & Regards, Mohan Link to comment
