(L1B was stamped for 3 yrs only hence its first time extension request) Q1 - Can my employer file Green card for me to legally work independent of L1B results? pontevecchio Posted February 3, 2014 Report Share Posted February 3, 2014 1. Yes 2. First comes PERM after necessary advertisements and job notifications after no local or PR is found suitable. This can take an year. Then I-140 can take longer. The process is faster if you were not born in India or China. Link to comment
