Hi All,

My interview was on jan 29 at 7.00 am. It was a short and straightforward interview. The visa officer did not ask for any documents other than my I797 and passport. I did not have any issues at port of entry either. My advice to anyone planning to come to jamaica for stamping, just make sure to carry all documents and be confident. you will get it.

Documents Required at Port of Entry:

Passport

I 797

Appointment Confirmation Page

Return Flight Ticket

P.S I wasnt asked to show any documents other than my passport at port of entry.

Documents Required for Visa Interview

Passport

I 797

DS 160 Confirmation

Passport Size Photograph on white background.

Supporting Documents

I 129 petition including LCA

W2 and paystubs

Client Letter

Other documents from your employer(Employer Empolyee relationship, offer letter, employer it returns etc)

I took all my school related documents like previous I 20's, Transcripts and Resume

Good Luck and All the best!!

Hi,

I stayed at a private apartment on barbican road close to US embassy and in a safe locality. I booked it from airbnb.com and i recommend this site. This apartment had a fully equipped kitchen , bed , internet and the owner also provided me a mobile phone for local calling. I used cityguide as taxi service and they were very quick. it usually came in 5mins after calling. The rent was usd57 per night.

They asked me to pick up my passport next day after my interview however for most people they say one day after the interview.  They ask you to pick up directly from the embassy.
