How detail should the Experience letter be

Hi,

My new employer might start GC for me. However, the experience letter from my old employer is just a page long highlighting my experience summary without any progressive experience details. Like it didm' highlight when I joined them as a junior developer and when I was promoted to lead and the years for each role.  I want to know whether this 1 page experience letter for GC should be enough which stresses my full experience as a blanket statement.  The letter does mention the primary technology that I worked. But my previous employer didn't give anything like a progressive experience. It was a blanket experience with my old designation. Is this acceptable for GC or I might need affidavit from old managers?

It's just an exp letter dude. It won't be more than one page.

Hi Rahil,

I cannot go back to my current employer in future for any other experience letter. I need to collect whatever I can now.

I want to know whether the regular experience letter provided by Indian MNCs is sufficient. Or should I have to prepare it in a given format like .NET development - 2 years, interface design - 1 year, C# programming - 6 years, Total 8 years, Something like this.

Or in another words, should I break my experience down into detailed months for each and every skill? If I just collect this 1 page letter with all my skills, will it be sufficient for PERM approval?

Ask your GC processing attorney.
