HI All,

 

I am a physician Indian Nationality applying for Green card under NIW . How long will it take to get an EAD if I apply for both I 140 and I 485 at atime? Untill I get the EAD should I be working on H1? Thanks in advance

No one on a forum can reliable predict a time frame - or even if NIW will be granted. What does your attorney say?  If you don't have an attorney, get one.

EB2 for Indians is backlogged. You will not be able to file AOS until the dates are current. Your question is premature.

What if I complete my 5 years in Underserved area...will I still need to wait for the dates to be current to apply for EAD?

Yes you have to wait until ur priority fate is current as of now for India eb2 dates are in 2004

If the dates need to be current with NIW too- then whats the advantage of NIW over Labor route? Because, in either routes - the dates need to be current.

NIW generally does not need to be sponsored by an employer; and, there is no requirement to obtain a labor certification (which means no need to recruit for the position, etc.) There are other potential benefits of the NIW vs. standard EB2, but these generally do not apply for physicians.
